In Perugia

Start your night by visiting Il Punto di vista and enjoy amazing Italian cocktails while gazing out on the breathtaking fields of Perugia. When you have had one or two Aperol Spritz, start making your way to La Taverna restaurant to indulge in an authentic Umbrian pasta. The restaurant is situated in a lovely courtyard which has stood the test of time and small lanterns light up the tables in the courtyard as soon as the sun has set.

If you have time to explore Umbria or Tuscany

Assisi

One of the most beautiful UNESCO sites in Italy. Walk in the footsteps of the first settlers in Umbria called the Umbri. The old town, still protected by roman walls also boasts an amphitheatre as well as amazing gothic architecture.

For the adventurous

Drive past Assisi towards the mountain ridge and set your GPS for Le Silve di Armenzano Natural Resort. Make your way up the mountain on small serpentine roads with steep edges and breathtaking views. A dense and beautiful forest will cover you view until you start to reach the top, there you will find a peaceful retreat where you can rest your head for a night or two. Start your hike early in the morning to reach and enjoy a magical waterfall in the forest with very few to no tourists. You also find one of the most beautiful infinity pools in Italy here. Montepulciano

In the small town of Montepulciano, located on a hillside in Tuscany close to the Umbrian border you can have a proper glass of amazing red wine while enjoying the views of a seldom seen landscape. Visit the bar Romantico and savour the medieval and renaissance setting. Go for a stroll along narrow streets and stay for a night or two in renaissance apartments at Delcorto suites. If you are interested in old prints, you will find a small shop with thousands of motives here as well as several other interesting shops.
